Haematological parameters and production characteristics of novel Romanov × Hissar crossbred sheep adapted to European steppe climate

The study presented some haematological parameters and production characteristics of novel crossbred Romanov × Hissar purebred sheep. A number biochemical tests were performed to assess the level adaptation F1 progeny local rearing conditions evaluate its potential economic benefits for industrial production. newly created crossbreed demonstrated significant increase in carcass characteristics, with pre-slaughter weight increased by 29.2%, slaughter - 39.7%, cooled 40.5% total yield ‒ 8.2% compared purebreed. meat quality was also increased: fat content remained at same (6.6-6.8%), carcasses lambs had higher relative muscle tissue (78.8% vs. 73.3%), 1st grade (94.6% 91.6%), caloric value (by 8.7%) parent purebreeds.
